Speaker Series
Kerry Engagement invited Mr. Walter Tsui, the Co-Founder and the Executive Manager of CareER (Care in Education and Recruitment), to share his journey "From Disability to Ability" with around 60 colleagues at Kerry Centre in early July. Walter as a visually impaired person, he understands that people with disabilities, even with high qualifications, often face limitations due to their circumstances, making it difficult to find suitable job. In 2014, he established CareER to assist highly educated individuals with disabilities in finding job opportunities and realizing their potential. After the event, many colleagues expressed a desire to learn how they could further promote inclusion and create more employment possibilities for people with disabilities.
In an effort to provide greater support for high school and university students with disabilities or special educational needs, Kerry Group has sponsored the CareER Scholarship Program starting in 2024. Beyond recognizing the recipients' active involvement and exemplary achievements in community service and extracurricular activities, the Group also offers them summer internships and job shadowing opportunities. We wish to elevate their future employability through on-the-job trainings.
