Volunteering

The Kerry Group Jigsaw Volunteer Team became wheelchair cleaning helpers in October and November. Guided by the maintenance technician from the 1st Step Association, our volunteers learned about the structure and operation of electric wheelchairs and participated in their cleaning and maintenance. This valuable experience allowed our volunteers to discover the organization's efforts in promoting accessibility, engage in meaningful conversations with wheelchair users, and gain a better understanding of their daily challenges.

To promote inclusivity and mutual support among wheelchair users, Kerry Group sponsored the 1st Step Association's "Community Support Network for Wheelchair Users and Their Caregivers 2.0", where wheelchair users select their district leaders to build support networks through communication and gatherings. The Group also sponsored the "Smart Home Improvement" program, identifying obstacles for wheelchair users and installing smart devices to enhance their autonomy and dignity at home.
