Venue: Dog Shelter at Kam Tin, Yuen Long (approximately a 5-minute drive from Kam Sheung Road MTR Station, the detailed address will be provided in the event confirmation email)
Roles of Volunteers: Volunteers will help create a safe haven for these once-abandoned dogs by cleaning cages and gardens and building connections through feeding. They can also learn about stray animals in Hong Kong and the adoption process.
- The event is open to Kerry colleagues only. Volunteers who speak Cantonese or English are welcome.
- Cleaning tasks involve physical work, and those allergic to dog fur should not participate. Please assess your physical condition before registering.
- Volunteers will have the opportunity to closely interact with dogs, and there is a possibility of being scratched or bitten. It is important to carefully follow the organization's instructions.
- With a large number of dogs at the shelter, there may be a strong animal smell on-site. Volunteers may bring masks to mitigate this.
- If the number of applicants exceeds the quota (20 volunteers per session), volunteers with experience in raising dogs will be given priority. Remaining spots will be allocated by lucky draw.
