2023 -24 Sharing from Kerry Returnee to France

"I have always been fond of France. I love the people, the lifestyle, and the culture there. French people are very direct and passionate. I was very touched when my new friends, whom I met for only a few days, came to my house to say goodbye on the day I left and asked me to message them after arriving home.

I become more expressive. My host family values quality time with each other. No matter how busy we are, we will start dinner on time and have earnest conversations together. This is how our relationship gets closer. As a new member of the family, I adjusted my habits and followed the rules in the household, to show my respect to them. I am more independent now. I tended to react to misunderstandings passively in the past, I have now learned to react and express my views promptly.”
